In Dnipropetrovsk region, survivors of sexual violence related to the war can receive free psychological, medical, legal, and informational support. All of this is provided within the framework of the "Stand Together" project, which was recently presented at the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration.

"We have established mechanisms to combat domestic violence. Another key issue is supporting victims of sexual crimes related to the war. This is why we are implementing the 'Stand Together' project. We will train professionals on how to work with people who have experienced such horrific events. We will create a 'hotline' for survivors. We are ready for new challenges," said Irina Grytsai, Deputy Chief of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional State Administration.

The "Stand Together" project will be implemented in fourteen regions, including Dnipropetrovsk, with the goal of improving the legislative framework and the response system to sexual violence.

"It's painful to realize that cases of sexual violence have become more frequent due to the war. That's why, in cooperation with the government of Ukraine, civil organizations, and with the support of the EU, we are implementing the 'Stand Together' project. We aim to provide survivors with comprehensive psychological, legal, social, and medical assistance," added Katerina Levchenko, Government Commissioner for Gender Policy.

Oksana Lunova, a representative of the "Women, Peace, Security" coalition in Luhansk region, shared her experience in providing assistance to residents of the region who have suffered from violence.

"Practically the entire Luhansk region is under occupation. Since 2014, combating sexual violence has been a top priority for us. We inform residents about what to do in such situations. We have 'hotlines' and hubs in different regions. We see that the number of people who do not remain silent about crimes has increased," shared Oksana Lunova.

The "Stand Together" project is being implemented by the Ukrainian Women's Fund, in partnership with the NGO "La Strada - Ukraine," the Association of Women Lawyers of Ukraine "JurFem," and with the support of the Office of the Vice Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration and the Apparatus of the Government Commissioner for Gender Policy and EU funding.
