In the city of Myrhorod in the Poltava region, the comprehensive renovation of the infectious diseases department of the local hospital is nearing completion. Recently, the head of the Poltava Regional Military Administration, Dmytro Lunin, visited the department where renovation is being completed. This information was reported on the Poltava Regional Military Administration's website.

The post reminds that the renovation of the infectious diseases department of the Myrhorod Intensive Care Hospital started at the end of 2021. During this time, the building's roof has been replaced, interior work has been carried out, bed spaces have been prepared, and new doors have been installed in the wards. Ten million hryvnias were allocated for this project, with 50% coming from the state and local budgets. Currently, they are finishing the installation of the ventilation system.

The hospital is not only undergoing renovations but also being equipped with modern medical devices. Last year, they installed a mammography machine, an encephalograph, an ultrasound apparatus, and other necessary diagnostic equipment.

Earlier, we reported that in the Poltava region, after a lengthy reconstruction, the renovation of the "Kolos" sports and recreation complex is nearing completion. Two years ago, its reconstruction began under the "Ukraine Recovery" credit program.

It is reported that in 2023, 25 million hryvnias from the regional budget were allocated for the renovation of the complex. They are also expecting additional funding of 80 million hryvnias from the European Investment Bank for the construction of a stadium on the complex's territory.

It's worth noting that the boxer from the Poltava region, Oleksandr Hizhniak, returned with a "gold" medal from an international tournament held in the Czech Republic. Representatives from 18 countries competed for victory at the tournament. Oleksandr Hizhniak defeated his opponents from Germany and Norway. He was supposed to box against an athlete from Wales in the final, but his opponent withdrew from the match. Therefore, the Ukrainian boxer secured victory ahead of schedule. These competitions were the last for Hizhniak before the European Games, which will take place in Krakow, Poland, from June 21 to July 2.
