Currently, there are about 6,000 internally displaced persons (IDPs) living in areas with a compact population in Poltava region. People with disabilities and elderly individuals who reside in kindergartens and schools will have the opportunity to relocate to two sanatoriums in Mirgorod and Truskavets.

The Head of the Main Department of the National Social Services in Poltava region, Liana Novosad, announced this during a briefing. Residing in sanatoriums is available for certain categories of IDPs.

About the Project for IDPs:
The government is currently implementing an experimental project by the Ministry of Social Policy, which provides social services to specific categories of IDPs. People with disabilities and elderly individuals living in kindergartens and schools can move to the "Slava" sanatorium in Mirgorod or the "Batkivschyna" sanatorium in Truskavets. In these sanatoriums, people will not have access to medical and health procedures but will have more comfortable living conditions. The "Batkivschyna" sanatorium will also provide an additional service of social care for those in need.

How IDPs Can Move to Sanatoriums:
The process of settling in sanatoriums is currently underway. IDP categories interested in moving there can contact the Department of Social Protection of the Population in Poltava region for consultation on this matter.

It's worth noting that in Poltava, a modular settlement has been opened for internally displaced persons. The construction of the modular settlement was implemented by the Foundation for International Solidarity of Poland with the financial support of the Government of the United Kingdom. The total number of modules is 240, with the capacity to accommodate up to 300 people. Currently, there are fewer than 100 people residing there.
