Cherkasy is ready to accept victims of the Kherson Oblast, the head of the Cherkasy Oblast

Cherkasy Region is prepared to receive the affected residents of Kherson Region, where today Russian terrorists detonated the dam of the Kakhovska Hydroelectric Power Station. This was announced by Igor Taburets, the head of the Cherkasy Regional Military Administration, as reported on the military administration's website.

In the morning, he instructed the preparation of locations throughout the region for resettlement.

"Cherkasy Region is ready to receive residents of Kherson Region who have been affected by the flooding resulting from the terrorist act by Russian terrorists. This morning, we held relevant meetings and gave instructions for the preparation of compact living areas where we can accommodate residents of Kherson Region. Currently, we have over three thousand such places for compact living, including for people with limited mobility and disabilities. If necessary, we will send transportation for evacuation," noted Igor Taburets.

Furthermore, tomorrow, the first humanitarian aid shipments from Cherkasy Region, including drinking water and food, will be delivered to the south.

"We have issued the appropriate instructions to local self-government authorities for the preparation of humanitarian cargo, primarily drinking water and food. Together with the communities, we are uniting our efforts to support everyone in need," emphasized Igor Taburets. "Because we are Ukrainians! We do not leave each other in times of need! We will stand strong and we will prevail!"
