In Vinnytsia Oblast, the LLC "Fish Farm "Mercury" operates, specializing in the cultivation, incubation, and breeding of various types of fish. This week, Deputy Head of the Regional Military Administration, Serhiy Zditovetsky, and the Director of the Department of Agricultural and Industrial Development of the OVA, Oleg Sidorov, visited the enterprise.

"Ukraine is extremely rich in recreational resources. By making certain efforts, they can be transformed into profitable agricultural businesses. This applies particularly to medium and small reservoirs," noted Serhiy Zditovetsky.

The head of the enterprise, Oleg Hryshyn, introduced the guests to the production processes. He, in particular, mentioned that LLC "Fish Farm "Mercury" aspires to obtain the status of a subject of breeding work.

Currently, the fish at the enterprise are going through the incubation period. This will allow in the future to provide fish farms not only in Vinnytsia Oblast but also beyond the region with fingerlings. At present, the enterprise maintains over a hundred male and female carp, almost a hundred six-year-olds, seven-year-olds, and eight-year-olds carp. The average weight of female carp is almost 9 kg, males - almost 6 kg, eight-year-olds are over 9 kg, and seven-year-olds are over 7 kg.

"To have fresh, appetizing fish on our table, we need to ensure a responsible process of its cultivation," emphasized Serhiy Zditovetsky.
