Interior Ministry responds to murder of man by law enforcement officer in Dnipro

The Ministry of Internal Affairs has responded to the incident involving the killing of a man by law enforcement officers in Dnipro. Interior Minister Igor Klymenko stated that there are situations that need to be analyzed with a clear head and emotions must be allowed to settle.

"Death is always a tragedy. But in the Dnipro incident, we need to objectively understand what happened. The investigation is ongoing, and it will provide answers to the main questions. However, some things are clear. If citizens want to live in a lawful state, they themselves must adhere to the law, behave in accordance with established norms, and definitely not assault the police. Furthermore, they should teach their children to be law-abiding," Igor Klymenko said.

The minister also emphasized that this is a serious precedent and that thanks to law enforcement officers, they manage to stabilize public sentiments during a state of war.

"If some individuals live in anarchy, believing they are above the law, and the police cannot perform their functions, Ukrainian society will face very dark times," the Minister of Internal Affairs added.

It's worth noting that the State Bureau of Investigations is investigating the legitimacy of the use of service weapons by law enforcement officers in Dnipro. All circumstances of the incident are being examined.
