In Odessa, the IV Prayer Breakfast was held, which was attended by the Acting Head of the Odessa Regional Military Administration, Boris Voloshenkov, and the Chairman of the Odessa Regional Council, Hryhoriy Didenko. Participants of the breakfast offered prayers for Odessa, the army, defenders, and the victory of Ukraine. This information has been reported by the Odessa Regional Military Administration.
Representatives of various religious denominations, members of the Ukrainian Parliament, and local government officials joined the Prayer Breakfast. Kurt Volker, a special guest of the Prayer Breakfast, attended the event. He served as the U.S. Permanent Representative to NATO from 2002 to 2009 and as the U.S. State Department's Special Representative for Ukraine from 2017 to 2019.
The Prayer Breakfast is a tradition that allows people of various beliefs but united by faith in God to testify to the special meaning that the Lord has in their lives and the lives of society as a whole. Today, they gathered to pray for Ukraine, for the government, for people in need, for those defending the country on the front lines, for prisoners who, they believe, will return home, for mothers waiting for their sons. In difficult times, they need to be closer to each other and help those in need. In this challenging time for Ukraine, they must be united in faith, prayer, and love for their homeland. Through collective prayer at the Prayer Breakfast, they show that faith in God among the residents of multicultural Odessa and the Odessa region is not a relic of the past, not a museum exhibit, but a living force capable of changing individuals and the world around them," said Boris Voloshenkov.
Recall that earlier in Dnipropetrovsk, the "Stand Together" project was presented.
