An athlete from Dnipro took third place at an international taekwondo tournament

Sportswoman Maria Leonova from Dnipro won the third place at the E-2 Multi European Game international taekwondo tournament. This achievement was reported on the official Facebook page of the municipal specialized children's and youth sports school of Olympic reserve.

Maria Leonova secured the bronze medal among junior girls in the weight category of -63 kg at these competitions, which took place in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina from May 10th to 14th.

In other news, in Odessa, one of the commanders of a military hospital was arrested for offering to help a serviceman obtain disability status in exchange for a $5,000 bribe. The serviceman, who had health issues, was planning to undergo a military medical examination to obtain disabled status. However, he received advice from an acquaintance that one of the commanders of the local military hospital could assist him in obtaining this status for $5,000. The serviceman reported this to law enforcement, and on May 11th, during the money transfer through an intermediary, the hospital commander was apprehended.
