Resident of Uman to be tried for evading military service

A 38-year-old resident of the Cherkasy region will face trial as an act has been filed against him for evading conscription into military service during mobilization. This information was provided by the Poltava Regional Prosecutor's Office.

The 38-year-old resident of Uman, who was fully fit for military service, refused to join the Armed Forces of Ukraine. After receiving a military enlistment notice and arriving at the district enlistment and social support center, he left the center with the intention of evading military service.

Subsequently, law enforcement agencies began searching for the man and successfully located him. An accusation has been filed against him for evading conscription into military service during mobilization under Article 336 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

He now faces a potential punishment of imprisonment for up to five years.

It's worth noting that in the Cherkasy region, two men forged documents and took control of an oil refinery. This concerns the "Krasnogirsky Oil Refinery." Two men, aged 36 and 35, originally from Kropyvnytskyi, took over the enterprise by falsifying documents.
