She stabbed a man in the heart: a woman was detained in Vinnytsia

On June 14, within the territory of the Kalynivska territorial community in Vinnytsia region, during a domestic dispute, a 38-year-old woman inflicted physical harm on a man using a kitchen knife. According to the Vinnytsia Regional Police website, the woman could face up to 15 years of imprisonment for committing such a crime.

According to Deputy Head of the Investigative Department of the Regional Police, Oleksandr Khmelar, the report of an extremely serious crime was received by the police at around 8:00 PM from emergency medical personnel.

Through on-site investigations and search operations, the police established the circumstances of the incident and apprehended the individual involved in the killing of a 37-year-old homeowner.

"Preliminarily, it was determined that a domestic dispute arose between the couple during a meal. The argument escalated into a fight during which the 38-year-old woman struck the man with a kitchen knife. The strike to the heart proved fatal, and he passed away before the arrival of medical personnel in the courtyard of the house. Both participants were intoxicated during the altercation," as stated in the report.

The suspect was detained in accordance with the law on suspicion of committing a crime as defined in Part 1 of Article 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (intentional homicide) and is currently held in a temporary detention facility.

All the circumstances, motives, and reasons for the crime will be determined during the pre-trial investigation.

The issue of notifying the suspect of the charges and the selection of preventive measures is being addressed.

The woman could face up to 15 years of imprisonment for the man's murder.

As a reminder, on June 12, law enforcement officers in Vinnytsia region arrested an individual from the town of Vapnyarka in the Tulchyn district, who had beaten a acquaintance to death with a stick and transported the body to the outskirts of the town.
