There is drunkenness in Cherkasy a woman driving a car crashed into a parked car

In Cherkasy, a female driver, displaying signs of alcohol intoxication, crashed into a parked car on June 16. As a result of the collision, a minor child was injured and was taken to a medical facility. This information was reported by the Cherkasy Regional Police.

The incident occurred around 10:00 PM on June 16. Law enforcement officials determined that the driver of a Volkswagen Polo collided with a parked Toyota Prius. A child was injured as a result of the accident and was hospitalized with injuries of varying severity at the Cherkasy Regional Children's Hospital. The police detained the female driver of the car under Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine.

The police have opened an investigation into the accident under Part 2 of Article 286-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, which deals with "Violation of traffic safety rules or vehicle operation by persons driving vehicles under the influence of alcohol." According to this article, the woman may face imprisonment for a term ranging from three to eight years and a suspension of her driving rights for a period of 5 to 8 years.

Previously, in Dnipro, a young woman lost her life in a car accident when the 1994-born driver of a Subaru lost control of the vehicle, veered off the road, and crashed into a tree. The driver suffered leg fractures and a traumatic brain injury as a result of the accident, while a 2003-born female passenger lost her life in the collision.
