A road accident involving a Subaru Forester took place on June 17th on Kryvyi Rih Highway in Chechelivskyi district of Dnipro. Following an emergency call at 10:12 PM, nine rescuers from the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Dnipropetrovsk region arrived at the scene. In the car, they found an injured driver and a deceased passenger. This information was provided by the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Dnipropetrovsk region.
According to preliminary information, the driver of the car lost control, and the vehicle went off the road into a ditch, colliding with a tree. Rescuers cut off the car's roof using hydraulic tools and extricated the driver. The driver, born in 1994, sustained a head injury and leg fractures. He was promptly transported to a medical facility in Dnipro by an emergency response vehicle.
Additionally, a woman born in 2003 was seated in the front seat of the car and tragically lost her life in the accident. Rescuers handed over her body to the police. The causes and circumstances of the accident are being investigated by law enforcement.
Recall that earlier in Poltava region, a drunk motorcyclist hit an 8-year-old boy. The motorcyclist struck the child with the sidecar of the motorcycle. The boy, with bodily injuries, was hospitalized in intensive care in Lubny. Shortly thereafter, the police established that the motorcyclist, born in 1988, was under the influence of alcohol. He was apprehended under Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine.
