Today, in broad daylight, Russian occupiers once again shelled the city of Nikopol with heavy artillery. The enemy damaged two enterprises critical to the city's infrastructure, as well as residential buildings. This information comes from the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, citing the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Dnipropetrovsk region.
In Nikopol, enemy shells damaged one of the municipal enterprises and hit an energy facility, leaving over 2600 households without power. Emergency crews are working at the scene to restore power as quickly as possible. Preliminary information suggests that the restoration work will take approximately one to two days.
The State Emergency Service reports that, as a result of the shelling, nine private houses, seven outbuildings, a car, several solar panels, two power lines, and a gas pipeline have been damaged. Fortunately, there have been no casualties or fatalities due to the shelling.
It's worth noting that during the night of June 14, Russian occupiers fired Kalibr missiles at the city of Odesa. This attack resulted in the deaths of three people and left thirteen others wounded. The Operational Command "South" reported that the enemy launched four Kalibr missiles at Odesa from a ship located in the Black Sea. Ukrainian air defense forces managed to intercept and destroy three of the missiles, while one struck a warehouse of food products owned by a commercial network. The explosion and air battle damaged a school, a business center, a residential complex, stores, and food service establishments.
