The III European Games are currently taking place in Krakow, Poland. Yesterday, in the kayak fours competition, a crew with a participant from Vinnytsia region took second place and won the silver medal in the 500-meter race. This was reported by the Vinnytsia Regional State Administration.
The Head of Vinnytsia Regional State Administration, Serhii Borzov, congratulated the four athletes on their success, especially Vinnytsia's own Dmytro Danylenko, as well as his partners Oleh Kukharyk, Ihor Trunov, and Ivan Semykin.
The silver medal won by Dmytro Danylenko marks the third medal for the athletes from Vinnytsia in canoe and kayak rowing competitions.
Recall that earlier in Kropyvnytskyi, the Olympic flag was raised.
This happened during the "Festival of the Olympic Flag," which took place at the stadium of the Faculty of Physical Education at Volodymyr Vynnychenko State University. This event was dedicated to the III European Games, which are taking place in Poland from June 21st to July 2nd. It is worth noting that Ukraine is represented by 263 athletes at the Games (a record number for our country). Ukrainian athletes will compete in 27 out of 30 possible disciplines.
We also learned that participants from Cherkasy will depart for training camps for the "INVICTUS GAMES." Vadym Maznichenko and Maksym Dmytrash, who suffered injuries during the russian-Ukrainian war, will represent Ukraine in these prestigious competitions.
