On June 26, 18 populated areas in the Poltava region were left without electricity due to adverse weather conditions. The storm damaged nine power lines. This information was reported by the Poltava Regional Military Administration.
Dmytro Lunin, the head of the Poltava Regional Military Administration, specified that temporarily 2,259 residential consumers and 157 businesses were left without electricity. The most affected local communities were Kozelshchyna, Kobeliaky, Dykanka, Hadiach, Zinkiv, and Chornukhyne. However, Lunin assured that emergency repair work would be carried out as quickly as possible.
Later, the Poltava Regional Military Administration reported that teams of power engineers had completed the emergency repair work and restored electricity to all eighteen populated areas.
Previously, we reported that in the Cherkasy region, rescuers cleared the roads of fallen trees that occurred during the storm.
In the city of Kropyvnytskyi, local residents were asked to remove their vehicles from the streets to allow municipal workers to clear the roads from snowdrifts. Representatives of the city authorities also appealed to vehicle owners and the patrol police, asking for maximum assistance to ensure the uninterrupted operation of municipal equipment, which would have to work during the night due to limited resources.
