On May 15th, occupants shelled Nikopol and Chervonohryhorivka communities with artillery fire. During the artillery shelling in the district center, people were wounded, including a 13-year-old girl. One of the injured men was found by law enforcement officers and evacuated to the hospital.
This shelling caused shells to hit residential neighborhoods in the city, courtyards, and rooftops of buildings, resulting in fires. Multiple multi-story and private residential buildings, outbuildings, and buildings of private and industrial enterprises, as well as a technical maintenance station, were damaged. Shrapnel damaged passenger and cargo vehicles, and power lines were also affected.
In Chervonohryhorivka community, fortunately, there were no casualties. The Nikopol District Police Department continues to receive reports from citizens regarding property damage. Investigative and operational groups are currently working at the impact sites to determine the final consequences of the enemy shelling.
Recall that on the night of May 14, Russian forces shelled the Pokrovske community in the Nikopol district. Several heavy artillery shells hit the area, resulting in injuries.
