On June 27, around 5:00 PM, residents of Kremenchuk in Poltava reported that two armed men were engaging in unlawful activities on Universitetska Street. This information was reported by the Main Department of the National Police in Poltava Region.
Immediately, patrol police units, special-purpose police battalion personnel, and an investigative-operative group arrived at the scene.
According to preliminary information, the two aggressive men who were disturbing public order were found to be local residents born in 1997 and 2000.
At the moment, law enforcement agencies, under the procedural guidance of the Kremenchuk District Prosecutor's Office, are conducting investigative actions related to this incident. These actions aim to establish the circumstances of the event and the motives behind the unlawful behavior of the individuals involved, after which appropriate procedural decisions will be made.
In other news, prosecutors from the Kryvyi Rih Northern District Prosecutor's Office successfully upheld a court verdict that sentenced a local resident to life imprisonment for intentional murder. Prosecutors demonstrated that in 2022, the convicted individual met a woman at a public transport stop and invited her to his home. Later, under the influence of alcohol, he struck the victim over 17 times with a kitchen knife. Subsequently, he dismembered the victim's body and concealed parts of it.
