Rowers from Poltava region brought three sets of awards from the championship of Ukraine in rowing Dragon boats

In the city of Zhytomyr, the Ukrainian Dragon Boat Championship took place. More than 500 participants from ten regions of our country competed in it. Poltava rowers brought three sets of various medals from the championship. This was reported by the Poltava Regional Military Administration.

The team "Poltava-2" from Poltava became the first in the competition among juniors aged 15-18 in mixed and open classes. Another team from the region, "Poltava-1" from Horishni Plavni, took second place in the race among adults in the mixed class. And the same team, "Poltava-1," took third place in the competition among juniors aged 15-18 in the open class.

Recall that earlier, athletes from Vinnytsia region won another medal at the European Games. In the kayak and canoe rowing competition, Vinnytsia native Dmytro Danylenko brought "silver" to his region and to Ukraine. He finished second in the 500-meter race along with his partners Oleg Kukharik, Igor Trunov, and Ivan Semykin.

Two participants from Cherkasy region, Vadym Maznichenko and Maksym Dmytrash, who suffered injuries in the Russian-Ukrainian war, left for training camps. They will represent Ukraine at the Invictus Games.
