Pyrotechnicians from the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Odessa region continue their work in the formerly occupied territories in Donetsk and Kherson regions. In just the past week, they have successfully surveyed more than 8 hectares of land and destroyed 145 explosive devices. This information was shared on the Facebook page of the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Odessa region.
Rescuers report that occupiers leave behind a significant number of unexploded shells, mines, and other items that can be potentially dangerous. Therefore, there is still much work to be done for pyrotechnicians.
The State Emergency Service in Odessa region reminds everyone never to approach explosive or suspicious items. In such cases, you should immediately call one of the emergency numbers – 101 (for the rescuers) or 102 (for the police). This will allow you to report a dangerous discovery in a timely manner and protect yourself and your loved ones from potential harm.
In addition, Odessa rescuers recently completed courses for operating drones. Ten employees of the State Emergency Service in the Odessa region participated in the training. They will now be able to use drones in their important work, including in situations involving explosives and emergency response.
It's worth noting that in Poltava, training for drone operators is also being organized. Veterans of the Russian-Ukrainian conflict, who have relevant combat experience in drone use, are expected to serve as instructors.
