A Ukrainian athlete won the shooting world championship in Croatia

The sportswoman from Cherkasy emerged as the victor in the World Cup in shooting sports held in Croatia.

From July 6 to 13, the World Cup in shooting sports among athletes with musculoskeletal impairments took place in the Croatian city of Osijek. The representative from Cherkasy claimed the 'gold' medal in the competition. This information was announced by the Department of Family, Youth, and Sports Affairs of the Cherkasy Regional Military Administration.

Anastasiia Telizhenko, representing Ukraine, is participating in the competition as part of the national team. On July 11, during the team championship while performing the R5 exercise, she, along with Vitaliy Plausch and Vasyl Kovalchuk, secured first place and won the gold medal of the World Cup.

Artem Manko from Cherkasy also brought home two awards from the Wheelchair Fencing World Cup, which took place in Warsaw, Poland from July 6 to 9.

We have also previously mentioned boxer Oleksandr Khizhniak from Poltava, who emerged victorious in the III European Games and earned a ticket to the Olympic Games, which will be held in Paris in 2024. In the final bout, the Ukrainian athlete defeated his Croatian counterpart.
