Workers from Dnipropetrovsk region help with reconstruction of Kherson region

Dnipropetrovsk region  has joined the 'Shoulder-to-Shoulder' project and started restoration work in two villages in Kherson region – Bobrovyy Kut and Olhyniv. Additionally, work will soon commence in a third settlement – Starosillia. This was announced by the head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, Sergiy Lysak.

Sergiy Lysak emphasized that Kherson region is one of the regions in Ukraine that suffered the most from the actions of Russian occupiers. The invaders left behind complete ruins. Rebuilding all of this is beyond the capabilities of the Kherson residents, which is why Ukrainians from other regions come to their aid. Currently, workers from Dnipropetrovsk are reconstructing the homes destroyed by the enemy, installing windows and doors, building roofs, and restoring facades.

One of the workers from Dnipropetrovsk, Vitaliy, stated that they are working diligently, aiming to rebuild the ruined homes as quickly as possible since Kherson residents are gradually returning to the liberated areas after the occupation.

One such resident is Mr. Dmytro. Before the full-scale war, his family owned land, a combine, cultivated grains, and raised pigs, earning a living through their own hard work. When the enemy invaded Ukrainian territory, they had to abandon everything. The occupiers destroyed and looted everything in his hometown of Olhyniv. Mr. Dmytro hopes to see the village beautiful and flourishing again after the reconstruction. He believes that with the help of friends from Dnipropetrovsk, this can be achieved faster.
