Odessa region has become the first region in Ukraine to harvest over one million tons of grain. As of today, farmers in the region have already gathered 1.02 million tons of grain. This was reported by the Odessa Regional Military Administration.

The leaders in this year's harvest in Odessa region are Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi district, which has already collected 150,000 tons of barley and 130,000 tons of wheat, and Bolhradskyi district, with 64,000 tons of wheat and 100,000 tons of barley.

"We thank the farmers for their relentless work despite all obstacles!" – stated the OVA message.

We have previously reported that a grain terminal is planned to be constructed in Izmail city, Odessa region. After the first stage of construction, the terminal will have a storage capacity of 20,000 tons (5,000 tons in each of the four warehouses). The project is being undertaken by the company Soul Marine. Its director, Ivan Niakiy, predicts that in October, the company will handle 60,000 tons of grain through its warehouses per month, and by the end of the year, this number will increase to 100,000 tons per month.

Additionally, it's worth mentioning that earlier, the development of vegetable farming in Odessa region was discussed at the OVA meeting. A representative from PAT "Chumak" was also present, and the company intends to relocate its processing facilities from Kherson to Odessa region. This move is expected to create nearly five thousand job opportunities. The choice of Odessa region for this venture is primarily due to favorable climatic conditions.
