In Dnipropetrovsk region, preparations are underway to return educational institutions from online mode to a blended or in-person form. To do this, the region needs a significant amount of transportation to transport teachers and students to schools. International partners are helping the region with school buses, and this time they have provided 14 buses to educational institutions. This was reported by the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration.
The head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, Serhiy Lysak, reminded that the region meets its transportation needs using its own resources when it purchases buses with budget funds. However, they also seek assistance from international partners. This time, France responded to the request for assistance.
Earlier, we reported that the principals of twelve lyceums in the Dnipropetrovsk region received keys to new buses.
This time, the keys to the vehicles provided by the French were received by the directors of educational institutions from the districts of the Dnipropetrovsk region. For instance, Mrs. Olena, the director of the lyceum in the Myrivska community, explained that the institution plans to use a blended form of education this year. Therefore, the lyceum needed a bus, as they transport students from four villages in the community, with a total of 176 students.
The buses from France aim to reduce the transportation needs of educational institutions, or at least minimize them. They are comfortable and spacious, with 55 seats rather than the standard 28. Additionally, the driver can only start the bus once they pass a built-in breathalyzer test and close all the doors.
