In the Cherkasy region, a doctor was sued for giving the Russians information about the distribution of the Ukrainian PPO

In Cherkasy region, a court found a resident of the region guilty of state treason for passing information about the locations of air defense systems to Russian special services. The suspect received a 15-year prison sentence. This was reported by the Office of the Prosecutor General.

During the trial, prosecutors proved that the man, who worked as a doctor in Cherkasy, was carrying out tasks from his Russian FSB handlers. The traitor provided the Russian occupiers with intelligence information, which he transmitted using a messaging application. Specifically, he sent data about the locations of checkpoints, administrative buildings of law enforcement agencies in Cherkasy and Cherkasy region, as well as military facilities. It was also documented that the traitor identified the location of one of the anti-aircraft defense units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

During the transfer of information about the location of the air defense systems to the enemy's special services, the man was apprehended by the SBU (Security Service of Ukraine).

Prior to the court's verdict, the man was in custody, and now he will spend the next fifteen years behind bars.

It's worth noting that earlier, a woman from Odessa, who had been collecting money for the Russian occupiers, received an 11-year prison sentence. Two relatives of the Odessa woman were part of the terrorist group "DNR Sparta" since 2016 and fought against Ukraine. With the start of the full-scale Russian invasion, the defectors joined the regular units of the Russian army and participated in the occupation of Mariupol and parts of the Kherson region. The Odessa woman organized the collection of funds for the militants, and for this, she received a deserved punishment.
