In Ukraine martial law and general mobilization were extended until November 15

Today, in Ukraine, the state of martial law and general mobilization has been extended for an additional 90 days. The decision was voted for by 347 deputies of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. According to the resolution, "the term of martial law in Ukraine is extended from 5:30 on August 18, 2023, for a period of 90 days." This information was reported on the website of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.

A reminder that President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, signed a decree on the introduction of martial law in Ukraine from 5:30 on February 24, 2022, for a term of 30 days. On that day, at 5 am, Russian dictator Vladimir Putin announced the start of the so-called "special military operation" in response to the requests from the self-proclaimed entities "Luhansk People's Republic" and "Donetsk People's Republic."

This decision was taken in connection with the military aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine and based on the proposal of the National Security and Defense Council, in accordance with Ukrainian legislation. The military command, together with the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine and other executive authorities and local self-government bodies, is tasked with ensuring the measures and powers provided by the Ukrainian law "On the Legal Regime of Martial Law" necessary for the defense of Ukraine, the protection of the safety of the population, and the interests of the state.

On the five hundred and eighteenth day of the full-scale war, Russia carried out missile strikes on Ukrainian airfields, military depots, and centers of military command in Kyiv, Odessa, Kharkiv, Berdiansk, Kramatorsk, and other cities of the country.
