On July 28, in the city of Kyiv, on the Day of Ukrainian Statehood, a ceremony was held to present the first Ukrainian passports to young citizens of the country - the children of fallen soldiers and the children of those warriors currently defending the country. Among them was Kyrylo Yuriev, a resident of Vinnytsia and the son of a fallen National Guard soldier. This information was reported by the Vinnytsia Regional Military Administration.
Kyrylo's father, Oleksandr Volodymyrovych Yuriev, lost his life near Volnovakha in Donetsk Oblast. He destroyed two enemy armored vehicles and organized the protection of personnel. For his heroic actions, he was posthumously awarded the Order "For Courage" of the 3rd degree.
President Volodymyr Zelensky presented the Ukrainian citizenship passport to Kyrylo Yuriev during the ceremony.
Recall that earlier, the First Lady of Ukraine, Olena Zelenska, and Prime Minister Denis Shmyhal, along with their government team, visited Vinnytsia Oblast. During their visit, they toured a sports complex located within a local school. The sports complex includes an athletic hall, facilities for various sports, and a swimming pool. It also serves as a place for the rehabilitation of servicemen and women from the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other defense forces.
Additionally, we reported that two Russian "Kalibr" missiles were destroyed over Vinnytsia Oblast. It is believed that these missiles were possibly launched from a Russian submarine. The missiles entered the airspace from the southeast direction, altering their course along the route.
These are some of the recent events that have taken place in Vinnytsia Oblast, Ukraine.
