In Myrhorod, located in the Poltava region, a modular shelter is being constructed on the premises of one of the educational institutions, where 150 children will be able to stay simultaneously. The structure consists of eight concrete blocks, and it will also be covered with a one-meter layer of soil on top. The modular shelter will have electricity, drinking water, technical water, two restrooms, and wood-burning stoves. This information is reported on the website of the Poltava Regional Military Administration.
The local community budget allocated over four million hryvnias for the construction of the shelter. The budget of Poltava region earmarked 98 million hryvnias for building new shelters in educational institutions and reconstructing existing ones. The construction works are being carried out under a co-financing agreement, with 50% from the regional budget and 50% from the local budget.

According to Serhiy Solomakha, such shelters will allow more students to attend offline classes. Earlier, we reported that almost 250 shelters in Cherkasy region were found to be unsuitable.
