Athletes from Dnipropetrovs'k region win five awards at the European tournament

Athletes from Dnipropetrovsk region won five medals at the 17th Summer European Olympic Festival held in Maribor, Slovenia. This accounts for almost half of all the medals that the Ukrainian team secured in these competitions.

Ivanna Rudyi, a gymnast from Dnipropetrovsk, won the silver and bronze medals in artistic gymnastics. In swimming, Mykola Kotenko achieved the same results. Daria Dolya also earned a bronze medal in the team in judo.

It's worth noting that judoka Yaroslav Omelchenko from Horishni Plavni in Kremenchuk district, Poltava region, won a bronze medal at the 2023 European Youth Olympic Festival. He competed in the +81-kilogram weight category and secured third place by defeating a French representative.

Furthermore, the Dnipropetrovsk region is reported to be 60% prepared for the heating season, with all plans progressing according to schedule, ensuring the stability of critical infrastructure for electricity, heating, and water supply.
