A preventive measure has been chosen for a man from Kremenchuk who physically abused and tortured minors. This information was reported by the Main Department of the National Police in the Poltava region.

The preventive measure for the 38-year-old offender was decided in the Kremenchuk City Court. He has been remanded in custody without the right to post bail.

To recap, under the procedural guidance of the Kremenchuk District Prosecutor's Office, a pre-trial investigation has been initiated regarding the torture of minors. It was established that the 38-year-old man, under the influence of alcohol, demanded that the children confess to stealing money and physically abused an 8-year-old girl and a 6-year-old boy, who were the children of his cohabitant. In addition, a physical injury resembling a gunshot wound was found on the boy's hand. Law enforcement officers also seized an air pistol from the man's apartment. The children have been taken to a medical facility.
