Today, in the nighttime, Russian occupiers shelled the Nikopol district five times with heavy artillery and rocket systems, including salvo fire. There were impacts of enemy projectiles in the towns of Nikopol, Chervonohryhorivka, and Myrivka. This information was reported by the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, citing the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Dnipropetrovsk region.
As a result of the Russian shelling, residents of Nikopol were affected, including a 35-year-old man and an 85-year-old woman. Medical assistance was provided to them, and the victims will receive further treatment at home.
In Nikopol, over twenty private houses were damaged, along with two trucks and one passenger car. Additionally, enemy fire hit solar panels, greenhouses, three gas pipelines, and two power lines. Two farm buildings were destroyed, and ten more were damaged. Rescue teams are assessing the consequences of the enemy shelling.
Previously, we reported that after the Russian attack on the city of Izmail, world wheat prices rose by 6.5%. Following the attack, 40,000 tons of grain were damaged in the port infrastructure. This led to an increase in wheat prices on the Chicago Exchange. Experts predict that panic and a 20-30% rise in food prices worldwide may follow.
Before this incident, the enemy again attacked the city of Odesa using drones, causing significant damage to the maritime station building. Additionally, grain warehouses, an elevator, production facilities, administrative buildings, and storage premises were damaged.
During this enemy attack, three educational institutions, one cultural institution, 15 multi-story buildings, and approximately ten private houses were also damaged.
