Gymnast Nazar Chepurnyi from Cherkasy region won gold at the XXI Summer World University

The XXXI Summer World University Games are taking place in Chengdu, China. Representing Ukraine at this prestigious sporting event is the gymnast Nazar Chepurny from Cherkasy. In the pole vault, our athlete has already won the "gold" medal. This information was reported on the Facebook page of the Cherkasy Regional Department of the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine.

It is reported that Nazar Chepurny, who represents the National University of Physical Education and Sport, executed two successful vaults with a difficulty coefficient of 5.6 and received the highest scores in the final - 14.883.

Earlier, we reported that an officer from the National Guard from Kryvyi Rih won "gold" at the Invictus Games in Lviv.

A total of 223 participants from all regions of Ukraine, including military personnel and veterans who were injured while performing combat missions in defense of their homeland, took part in the National Qualification. Athletes competed in 9 disciplines, including archery, athletics, cycling, powerlifting, indoor rowing, sitting volleyball, swimming, table tennis, and wheelchair basketball.

In Poltava Region, dragon boat racing competitions took place. Over 300 athletes competed for the championship in distances of 200, 500, and 2000 meters. Participants came from Kyiv, Zhytomyr, Volyn, Cherkasy, Dnipropetrovsk, and Lviv regions.
