Children from war-affected communities of Dnipropetrovs'k region went on vacation to Italy

More than forty children from the most war-affected communities of Kryvyi Rih and Nikopol districts have set off for a vacation in sunny Italy. They will spend over two weeks on the shores of the warm Adriatic Sea. This was reported on the website of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional State Administration.

The children who are orphans or without parental care were invited by representatives of the Apostolic Nunciature in Ukraine and philanthropists from the organization "Caritas Italy."

The most important thing is to give the children a sense of safety, peace, and a bright childhood. I hope that Italian beauty will divert them from non-childish worries. I am confident that they will return with a bunch of impressions, - said Olena Hurzhii, the head of the Child Affairs Service of the Dnipropetrovsk RSA.

The children, aged 7 to 18, will spend more than two weeks on the shores of the Adriatic Sea. They can look forward to fun activities, excursions, visits to museums, and new friendships.

Earlier, we reported that nearly 800 children were recuperated in the Carpathians at the expense of the city budget. This year, the Department of Social Policy purchased 1,982 vouchers for the recreation of Cherkasy children with money from the city budget. The health campaign will run from May 16 to October 11. During this time, there will be 10 shifts of children for 14 days each.

We also reported that low-income families in Dnipropetrovsk region could receive up to 14,000 hryvnias for the recreation and recuperation of their children.
