From the Poltava region, the fifth rotation of municipal workers has gone to Kherson. The new group consists of 36 volunteers from various districts of Poltava. They will replace the workers from the previous brigade. This information is reported on the Poltava Regional Military Administration website.
Dmytro Lunin, the head of the Poltava Regional Military Administration, explained that the brigade includes 36 workers with different specialties. They will replace the brigade that spent two weeks clearing streets and homes in Kherson after the flooding caused by the Russian occupiers' destruction of the Kakhovska HES. The new brigade of volunteers will help clean apartments and houses and prepare them for the heating season.
Earlier, we reported that over 200 workers from the Poltava region assisted Kherson residents in dealing with the consequences of the Kakhovska HES's destruction by the Russian occupiers. The first humanitarian cargo from Poltava to Kherson was sent on June 8th. During one and a half months, a total of 440 tons of drinking water, 12 tons of gasoline, 3 tons of diesel fuel, and 600 units of rescue equipment were sent from Poltava. Throughout this period, Poltava also provided 22 units of equipment, including bulldozers, tractors, dump trucks, loaders, emergency water canal machines, a biological waste cremator-utilizer, a sewer cleaning vehicle, a water delivery truck, and a vehicle-mounted lift for electrical network repairs.
We also reported that municipal workers from thirteen regions of Ukraine are working in Kherson. They are cleaning up garbage, clearing roads of mud, and pumping water from flooded areas. They use thirty units of municipal equipment, such as tractors, loaders, dump trucks, garbage trucks, excavators, and other machinery that other regions of the country have provided for the restoration of the Kherson region.
