Poltava region is among the top four leaders in implementing digitization in regions. The region actively introduces new technologies in education, healthcare, social services, and is also working on electronic document management.

Deputy Head of the Poltava Regional State Administration, Igor Panchenko, shared this information during a meeting with the coordinator of projects at the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), Bahadir Ragimov.

"In the pre-war period, we actively worked on the Internet Subsidy project. We connected most educational institutions, libraries, kindergartens, and hospitals to high-speed internet. Thanks to this, when it comes to shelter, we can easily install a router, and the network will work seamlessly. We are also implementing a large project in partnership with the Ministry of Digital Transformation to open Administrative Services Centers (known as "Diia Centers"). Currently, 52 such centers have been established in the region," said Igor Panchenko.

According to Bahadir Ragimov, the project coordinator, in the context of the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, UNICEF initiated a partnership with territorial communities across the country to establish digital educational centers. Similar centers will also be introduced in Poltava region. "Children should continue their education regardless of the circumstances. Despite the war, they should have access to knowledge. Our main goal is to provide uninterrupted access to education. We have the 'Digital Learning Centers – DLC' project, which is starting its work in Poltava region. These centers will allow children and adolescents to access digital devices and educational materials," noted Bahadir Ragimov.

During the meeting, they also discussed the implementation of other projects, including the creation of digital classrooms in regional hospitals to ensure continuous education for children who spend an extended period in healthcare facilities.
