June 29. Results of the day

Four hundred and ninety-one days have passed since the large-scale armed aggression of the Russian Federation against our state began.

The Russian Federation continues to kill the civilian population of Ukraine and continues to ignore the laws and customs of war, using tactics of terror against civilians.

Today, the aggressor used 6 guided anti-aircraft missiles S-300 on civilian infrastructure objects in the cities of Zaporizhia and Chuhuyiv. In addition, during the day, the enemy carried out 23 aerial strikes and approximately 46 artillery shelling attacks on the positions of our troops and civilian areas.

Today, the 48th Vice President of the United States, Mike Pence, is in Kyiv. Together with President Zelensky, they discussed our defense, the cooperation between our nations, security cooperation, and the importance of partners' determination and resolve regarding Ukraine's future NATO membership.

In Cherkasy Oblast, students who excelled in the subject "Defense of Ukraine" and completed training have been recognized. This year, 62 students in Cherkasy Oblast received recognition for their achievements in the Defense of Ukraine subject.

The Security Service of Ukraine (SSU) conducted a counter-diversionary special operation in Kirovohrad Oblast. As a result of the operation, an FSB agent, who was involved in preparing new airstrikes by the Russian Federation on the aviation infrastructure in the region, was detained.

This covert operative received his task from his Russian "curator," who turned out to be a career FSB officer based in temporarily occupied Crimea.

In June, inspections were conducted in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast to assess the condition of bomb shelters. The commission identified deficiencies in Dnipro, leading to the temporary suspension of the deputy mayor, Mykhailo Lysenko, pending an official investigation. The head of the Department for Civil Protection of the City Council, Andrii Hazin, was dismissed, and his superior, the director of the corresponding department, Oleksandr Chudnovsky, received an official reprimand.

A colorful and energetic event took place on June 28th in Poltava to celebrate Constitution Day at Peremoha Park. Hundreds of young people gathered for the Holi Fest, an event where participants throw dry colored powders at each other.
