The five hundred twenty-third day of large-scale armed aggression by the Russian Federation against our state continues. Briefly, let's talk about the main events of the passing day.

During the day, the enemy launched 9 missile strikes and 39 airstrikes, as well as carried out 35 shelling incidents with rocket artillery on the positions of our troops and civilian areas. Unfortunately, there have been casualties and injuries among the civilian population, including children. Residential buildings and other civilian infrastructure have also been damaged.

Russian occupiers launched two missile strikes on civilian infrastructure in Kryvyi Rih, hitting an educational institution and a multi-story building, resulting in six fatalities and over 70 injuries, including children.

Nearly a hundred residents required psychological support, which was provided on-site.

In total, more than 350 people were working in the attacked areas, dealing with the aftermath of the aggression by the Russian invaders. There have been significant damages, including the destruction of administrative buildings, five residential high-rises, and 12 vehicles. Approximately 317 tons of building debris have already been removed.

"Today, at seven in the evening, the rescue operation in Kryvyi Rih at the site of the Russian missile strike has been completed. These were two Iskander missiles, ballistic missiles targeting a residential building. Floors from the fourth to the ninth were destroyed in one entrance, directly affecting civilian people, ordinary people, including children. This is terrorism, which no one in the world will call anything else. As of now, we know about six casualties, including a child named Daria, who was only ten years old. Her mother, Natalia, also perished. A regular family in a regular city whose lives were destroyed by Russian killers. My condolences to everyone who has lost their loved ones," commented President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky on the tragedy.

A deputy from one of the regional councils in Sumy region has created two fraudulent call centers in Kyiv and Dnipro. Under the guise of a charitable foundation, they collected money to purchase body armor, helmets, night vision devices, and other ammunition for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This was revealed by the press service of the National Police of Ukraine.

On July 29, 2023, a charity event titled "Unbeatable, Odesa - Kherson - ARTnastup" took place at the Odesa Zoo, as reported by the Odesa City Council. The event was organized as part of the project by Olena Alekseyenko in collaboration with the Odesa Zoo.

The aim of the charity event was to support the Kherson Regional Academic Music and Drama Theater named after Mykola Kulish. After the start of the Russian occupation, the theater's artists had to leave their native Kherson and subsequently toured Ukraine, including Odesa, where most of the artists currently reside. The exhibition featured paintings by 16 Odesa artists, which were handed over to the Kulish Theater. Additionally, an aquarium with a rescued turtle, which the artists saved after the flooding caused by the explosion of the Kakhovska HES, will be placed in the theater.

Today, on July 31, Katerina Yamshchykova, a deputy from the "Servant of the People" party, began to perform the duties of the mayor of Poltava.

She replaced Andriy Karpov, a deputy from the "European Solidarity" party, who previously held the position of the city council's secretary. Karpov was dismissed by city council deputies on July 28 due to inadequate performance of duties, and Katerina Yamshchykova was elected as the new secretary. Today, the former secretary handed over the seal to her successor.

On July 27, a nationwide event in support of missing in action soldiers, prisoners of war, defenders, medics, and their families took place in Vinnytsia. The event was organized by the Coordination Headquarters for Handling Prisoners of War.
