Another plague of fish was recorded in Vinnytsia

On August 23rd, a report regarding a fish kill in the Ladizhyn Reservoir of the Southern Bug River, within the villages of Novoselivka and Mankivka in Tulchyn District, Vinnytsia Region, was received by the State Environmental Inspection of Vinnytsia Region. On the same day, inspectors went to inspect the mentioned water body and collect water samples from the areas where the fish had died, as reported by the department's press service.

During the inspection carried out by the personnel of the Department of State Environmental Supervision (Control) of Animal World and Bioresources, a massive fish kill was observed, and a corresponding examination report of the water body was prepared.

"At present, instrumental and laboratory analysis of the collected samples for the presence of pollutants is being conducted. The results of the analysis will be reported separately," stated the State Environmental Inspection of Vinnytsia Region.

It is worth noting that on August 17th, local residents reported the fish mortality in the water body of Bratslav, Vinnytsia Region, to the Vinnytsia Fishery Patrol's hotline. At that time, experts found the silver carp carcasses in the water, with a majority of dead fish found in the vegetation along the shoreline.

On July 24th, a report about fish mortality at the Bahaç (Bagatske) pond in Vinnytski Khutory village was received by the State Environmental Inspection of Vinnytsia Region. Specialists inspected the water body and collected water samples. During the inspection, workers discovered 125 specimens of deceased fish, including 120 carp and 3 grass carp. An examination report of the water body was prepared, and a calculation of damages was conducted, with the total amounting to 2420 Ukrainian hryvnias.
