From April 25th to 30th, the All-Ukrainian Youth and Women's Boxing Tournament dedicated to the memory of the International Master of Sports R.P. Ohlu took place in Zhytomyr. Athletes from the Poltava region participated in various weight categories and achieved success. The following athletes won medals: Karina Zvereva, who won the 'gold' in the 81-kilogram category; Kamila Syrytsia (63 kilograms), Marina Shevchenko (66 kilograms), Danilo Peretokin (51 kilograms), Oleksandr Potapenko (54 kilograms), who secured 'silver'; and Vladyslav Ovsiyenko (54 kilograms), who earned 'bronze.' The success of these athletes was reported on the website of the Poltava Regional Military Administration.
Earlier, we reported that athletes from the Odessa region returned with medals from nationwide and international competitions. For instance, the handball team 'Izmail' became the champion of the Higher League of Ukraine among men. In the final round of the championship held in Brovary, Odessa's handball players secured three victories and won the championship cup.
Additionally, athletes from the Dnipropetrovsk region won 67 medals at the Ukrainian Championship in hand-to-hand combat. Participants from the Dnipropetrovsk region, including young men, juniors, and girls, secured 17 'gold,' 20 'silver,' and 30 'bronze' medals.
We also reported that the government allocated nearly 51 million hryvnias from the state budget to purchase school buses for the Vinnytsia region. All the school buses purchased with the provided subsidy will be equipped in accordance with accessibility requirements.
