Tonight, Russia carried out another missile strike on Ukrainian territory. Approximately 10 air-launched cruise missiles of the Kh-101/Kh-55 family were launched from the Bryansk region. Ukrainian air defense forces successfully intercepted and shot down one of these missiles over the Kirovohrad region.
Andriy Raikovych, the head of the regional administration, reported this. The enemy missiles followed a complex route, frequently changing direction. Ukrainian military experts believe that this tactic is an attempt by the enemy to identify vulnerable points in Ukrainian air defense systems.
Initially, the missiles crossed the border in the north of Ukraine and headed south. In the Kirovohrad region, one of the missiles was shot down, and its debris fell in a rural cemetery, according to local reports. From the Kirovohrad region, the Russian missiles turned northward. Over the Kyiv region, one of them was shot down. Debris from the missile strike damaged 10 private houses, with one sustaining significant damage. Other houses had broken windows, doors, damaged roofs, and facades. Two cars and an agricultural equipment hangar were also damaged. Two individuals sustained injuries.
In total, Ukrainian Air Force units destroyed four cruise missiles in central and northern regions during the night. The fate of the remaining missiles is uncertain, and there is no information about their impact.
It's important to note that on Friday, August 25th, Russian aggressors carried out two nighttime attacks on the Odessa region, launching a total of 4 missiles.
