Athletes from Vinnytsia region brought back gold medals from the World Shooting Championships

In the capital of Azerbaijan, Baku, the World Shooting Championship is taking place. Ukrainian athletes Valentina Honcharova and Danilo Danilenko from Vinnytsia region have won "gold" medals in shooting with an air rifle at a moving target.

This was announced by the head of the Vinnytsia Regional Military Administration, Serhiy Borzov, on his Facebook page.

Danilo Danilenko became the first among men in the competition, along with his teammates Denis Babliuk and Ihor Kyzyma. Valentina Honcharova also managed to reach the top of the podium in team competitions with Galina Avramenko and Viktoriia Rybovalova.

"Additionally, Valentina is the coach of Danilo, making it a double achievement for Valentina Honcharova. Congratulations to the athletes from Vinnytsia, and best wishes for further success and achievements on the international stage!" - wrote Serhii Borzov.

As a reminder, athletes from the Poltava region brought home eight medals from the III European Games held in Poland. Thanks to the contributions of Poltava athletes, the Ukrainian national team emerged as one of the leaders of the games and secured the third position in the medal standings. Rowers made the most significant contribution to Poltava's medal count. Lyudmyla Luzan won two "gold" and one "silver" medals, while Oleh Kukharik and Ihor Trunov added another "gold" and "silver."

Furthermore, we also reported that athletes from the Dnipropetrovsk region won a total of 130 medals in international and all-Ukrainian tournaments within a week. Among these achievements was the success of Yaroslava Maguchikh, representing Dnipropetrovsk, who claimed a "gold" medal in high jump at the European Games, reaching a height of 1.97 meters.
