In Chernihiv region, a car detonated on a mine, resulting in the deaths of two adults and injuries to two children. The incident occurred on August 28th in one of the territorial communities of Chernihiv district. The driver ignored warning signs "Mines" placed along the roads and decided to go to the lake for recreation. As a result, the car hit a landmine, which detonated, causing the car to catch fire. Two adults died in the tragic incident, and two children were hospitalized.


The State Emergency Service emphasizes that there is an extremely high mine danger in the areas affected by occupation and in places where military actions took place. Signs "Stop, Mines" and "Danger, Mines," as well as special tapes, mark areas of the highest danger.

As a reminder, on August 28th, Russian occupiers struck Poltava region, resulting in an explosion at an oil facility in Hoholeve, Myrhorod district, where four people died, and five more workers who were on night shift were injured.

Additionally, in Poltava region, a gasoline reservoir exploded, causing a 34-year-old worker to suffer burns on 65% of his body. He was hospitalized in the intensive care unit of Poltava City Hospital.
