In the Kirovohrad region, the road markings near educational institutions are being updated before the start of the new school year. Special attention is given to road sections passing by kindergartens and schools. They are addressing potholes, cleaning up litter, mowing weeds, renewing pedestrian crossings, and road signs. There are a total of 23 educational institutions near state roads in the Kirovohrad region.
The Service for Infrastructure Restoration and Development of the Kirovohrad Regional State Administration has also intensified emergency work as part of operational maintenance on routes usually used by school buses to ensure uninterrupted transportation of students.
Furthermore, we have reported that today in Poltava, the first seven schools received new school buses, which were purchased with co-funding from the state and regional budgets. This year, a total of 33 buses will be purchased for educational institutions in Poltava, which will arrive in August, September, and October.
In addition, fourteen buses have been handed over to schools in Dnipropetrovsk region by international partners. These buses are aimed at addressing or at least reducing the transportation needs of educational institutions. The buses from France are comfortable and spacious, with 55 seats instead of the standard 28. Moreover, the bus can only start when the built-in breathalyzer test is passed and all doors are closed.
