The III European Games in Krakow, Poland, have concluded. These games featured 7,000 athletes from 48 countries competing in 28 sports disciplines. Ukraine finished in third place overall, thanks in part to the contributions of Odessa's athletes. This information was reported by the Odessa Regional State Administration.

During the European Games, Ukrainian athletes won a total of 41 medals, including 22 gold, 12 silver, and 8 bronze medals. Among them, four medals were won by representatives from Odessa.

Odessa had twelve athletes competing at the games, and four of them managed to return with medals. Anzhelika Terlyuga excelled in karate in the weight category up to 55 kilograms, earning a gold medal. In the discipline of Muay Thai in the weight category up to 67 kilograms, Igor Lyubchenko, another Odessa representative, claimed a gold medal. Anita Serhiogina secured a silver medal in karate in the weight category up to 61 kilograms. Additionally, 21-year-old Vladislav Shepelyev won a bronze medal in the triple jump discipline.
