47 children returned from evacuation from Poland to Kirovohrad Oblast

In Kirovohrad region, 47 children who are wards of institutions of institutional care and upbringing have returned from the Republic of Poland. Svitlana Zhivaha, the deputy head of the Department for Children's Affairs of the Kirovohrad Regional Military Administration, announced this during a briefing.

She mentioned that the children have been in evacuation since March 1, 2022. Out of the children who returned, 44 have the status of orphans and children deprived of parental care. Of these, 23 children acquired this status while being abroad.

Svitlana Zhivaha emphasized that all these children require family upbringing, which is impossible to provide abroad. The institutions to which the children have returned are operating as usual and have accommodations, providing various services to the wards. The Child Affairs Department is working on ensuring that the children's right to be raised in a family is realized.

As a reminder, previously in Kropyvnytskyi, children refused to buy flowers for the "last bell" celebration to raise money for drones for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. As part of the initiative, children encouraged others not to buy flowers for the school graduation celebration but to donate the saved money to volunteers who would purchase necessary equipment for the military. In Poltava, children organized a fair to buy drones for the Ukrainian soldiers.
