In Odesa, the Rescue Service received a report from local residents about a foul odor near a partially destroyed single-story residential building, resulting from Russian shelling. After an hour of search and rescue efforts, the team of rescuers found the body of a woman who had tragically lost her life due to the shelling. This information was reported by the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Odesa Oblast.

The search involved seven rescuers and one unit of equipment, as well as three members from the canine unit of the 3rd Special Rapid Response Center and three service dogs. The collaboration of the rescue team and canine unit helped locate the victim under the debris of the building.

The State Emergency Service (DSNS) reminds everyone that ignoring air raid alerts can cost lives. Therefore, they urge residents of the region to immediately seek shelter after receiving such warnings. As a reminder, on the morning of July 18th, Russian occupiers launched an attack on Odesa Oblast and Mykolaiv Oblast, using Kalibr cruise missiles and Shahed drones. All the missiles were successfully intercepted by the air defense forces. However, the debris from the intercepted missiles and the explosive blast caused damage to several port infrastructure objects and private homes. One elderly man was injured in his own home and received medical treatment.

On July 19th, the Russian occupiers carried out another massive strike on Odesa Oblast, using missiles of various types, including Oniks, X-59, and X-22. In addition, they launched Iranian-made "Shahed-136" attack drones targeting port and critical infrastructure. Fortunately, there were no casualties, but several buildings were damaged, and three civilians were injured as a result of the attacks. The situation remains highly concerning, and authorities are continuously monitoring and responding to potential threats in the region.
