Dnipropetrovs'k region under fire: the enemy attacked the region with rockets and heavy artillery

On August 12th, Russian occupiers launched a missile strike on the city of Kryvyi Rih, while Nikopol was shelled three times with heavy artillery. There were no casualties, but residential buildings were damaged. This information was reported by the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, citing the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Dnipropetrovsk region.

According to rescuers, the enemy fired about a dozen shells from heavy artillery at the city of Nikopol. As a result of these attacks, fifteen private residential buildings and five agricultural structures were damaged. In addition, three power lines and two gas pipelines were also damaged.

Previously, the Ukrainian Armed Forces explained why Russian occupiers intensified shelling in the Dnipropetrovsk and Odesa regions. The occupiers believe that these regions have a concentration of Ukrainian Armed Forces resources. According to Natalia Humeniuk, the head of the United Coordination Press Center of the Southern Defense Forces of Ukraine, the situation is further exacerbated because the occupiers are feeling pressure from the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

We also reported that during one of the enemy's attacks, the Ukrainian Air Defense Forces destroyed 36 enemy missiles and 30 drones. Almost all of the drones were neutralized on the outskirts of the capital and in the skies over Kyiv.
