The four hundred and forty-fifth day of large-scale armed aggression by the Russian Federation against our country continues. We briefly summarize the main events of the day.
The Russian Federation has not abandoned its plans to occupy our territory and continues its aggressive war. The enemy continues to strike, targeting not only military but also civilian objects.
During the day, the enemy launched 6 missile strikes, including on the city of Kharkiv and the town of Zolochiv. In addition, they conducted 27 airstrikes and around 20 shelling incidents with multiple rocket launchers on the positions of our troops and populated areas. Civilians have been affected, and private residential houses, as well as other civilian and administrative infrastructure, were destroyed or damaged.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky visited Germany for the first time since the start of full-scale Russian aggression.
"We discussed the current situation and the intensive cooperation between Germany and Ukraine. Germany will continue to support Ukraine politically, militarily, and financially as long as it is necessary. I thank Germany for the largest package of military aid since the start of full-scale Russian invasion. German air defense systems, artillery, tanks, and armored infantry vehicles are saving Ukrainian lives and bringing us closer to victory. Germany is a reliable ally. Together we are approaching peace," commented Volodymyr Zelensky on the meeting.
In Dnipro, on the eve of the International Day of Families, a family celebration took place in the Amur Park. Parents played a "funny football" with their children, divided into teams, watched dance performances, and participated in fencing and karate tournaments. The youngest guests enjoyed aqua makeup and took part in a festive flash mob.
In the Ivanivka community in Odesa region, the first square and monument to Mother were opened. The solemn opening of the square and the Mother monument took place in the Ivanivka community of the Berezivka district of Odesa region on the eve of the holiday of the same name. The event was attended by the first deputy chairman of the Odesa Regional Council, Oleh Radkovsky, regional council deputies, the head of the charitable foundation, as well as mothers-heroes and mothers who formed foster families.
On May 14th, in honor of Mother's Day, the Deputy Head of the Poltava Regional Military Administration, Oleksiy Bruslyk, met with mothers of prisoners of war and missing soldiers. Women from all over Ukraine came to Poltava at the invitation of the public organization "Union of Mothers 'Protection'."
During the day, the enemy twice directed heavy artillery fire at the Marganetska community in the Nikopol district. In total, they fired over a dozen shells. Two people were injured. A 38-year-old man and a woman were hospitalized in moderate condition. They suffered mine-explosive injuries, concussions, and shrapnel wounds. Seven private houses, an economic building, fences, cars were damaged. Two power lines were torn.
