From August 17th to August 20th, the Ukrainian Beach Volleyball Championship for athletes under the age of 16 took place in the city of Rivne. The pair consisting of Andriy Lukin, a student of the Sports School for Children and Youth in Kropyvnytskyi, and Yegor Skrypnychenko from the city of Chornomorsk emerged as the champions. The tournament featured 51 boys' teams and 42 girls' teams, making it the largest tournament in 2023. This information was shared on the Facebook page of the Kirovohrad Regional State Administration.
In addition to this, Georgiy Herasymenko, a representative from Poltava Oblast, won a bronze medal in the European Cup in triathlon as a part of the junior national team of Ukraine.
It's worth noting that Kropyvnytskyi's swimmers achieved victory at the World Championship among athletes with hearing impairments held in Buenos Aires, with Irina Tereshchenko winning gold in the 100m breaststroke and the combined 4x100m relay event alongside Darya Tarasenko.
Furthermore, athletes from Vinnytsia Oblast earned medals at the Ukrainian Sumo Cup, with nine athletes from the Vinnytsia City Children and Youth Sports School No. 5 bringing home two gold, two silver, and two bronze medals.
