In the city of Dubai, United Arab Emirates, the World Powerlifting Championship is currently underway. A representative from Vinnytsia, Maryana Shevchuk, has successfully competed in the 55-kilogram weight category and secured the second-place position. Thanks to her achievement of lifting 126 kilograms, the Ukrainian athlete received a "silver" medal. This information is reported on the Facebook page of the Vinnytsia Regional Military Administration.
Due to her impressive performance, the athlete, who represents the Vinnytsia Regional Center for Adaptive Sports "Invansport," has earned a qualification for the 2024 Paralympic Games in Paris, France.
Congratulations to the athlete and her coach, Ivan Chupryn, were extended by the Chief of the Vinnytsia Regional Military Administration, Sergiy Borzov.

In Cherkasy, over 60 participants from five regions of Ukraine competed in the All-Ukrainian Championship. These were the first such competitions held in the region in 60 years.

Irina Tereshchenko won a gold medal and the title of world champion in the individual 100m breaststroke. In the 4x100m medley relay, Irina Tereshchenko and Daria Tarasenko, as part of the Ukrainian team, also secured gold medals.
