A patriotic race "Honoring Soldiers, Running for the Heroes of Ukraine" was held in Haivoron in Kirovohrad region

In the city of Hаivoron in the Kirovohrad region, a nationwide patriotic run titled "Honoring the Warriors, Running for Ukraine's Heroes" took place. A total of 123 participants took part in the run. This information is reported on the Facebook page of the Kirovohrad Regional State Administration.

The run was dedicated to the Day of Remembrance of Ukraine's Defenders who gave their lives for the country's independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity. The whole country traditionally honors the fallen soldiers on August 29th.

As part of the run, each participant could wear a white T-shirt and complete the chosen distance at their convenience and in a suitable location.

Previously, in Znamianka in the Kirovohrad region, a stage of the Ukrainian cross-country championship took place. Twenty-eight athletes from different regions of Ukraine participated in the third stage of the championship.

Additionally, we reported on the opening of a renovated stadium in a village in the Kirovohrad region in honor of the fallen Ukrainian defender Valeriy Kovalchuk. During the opening ceremony, the relatives of the fallen Ukrainian defender thanked the teachers and students of Ingulets Lyceum, the employees of the village council, and the residents of the starosta for their active participation in the improvement of the stadium area. After the solemn opening of the stadium, its consecration took place. Following this, an open football tournament dedicated to the memory of Valeriy Kovalchuk was held.

We also covered the achievements of swimmers from Kropyvnytskyi, who became world champions. On the third day of the competition, Kropyvnytskyi swimmers added new medals to their collection. Irina Tereshchenko won a gold medal and the title of world champion in the individual 100m breaststroke event. In the mixed 4x100m medley relay, Irina Tereshchenko and Daria Tarasenko, as part of the Ukrainian team, also secured gold medals.
